The Sennheiser MM 50 iPhone headset is naturally a good choice for those that need the ability to make calls with their music earphones still in place. But if you don’t need the mic, the less expensive Sennheiser CX 300-II deserves a recommendation, offering a slightly less punchy sound with a more relaxed treble and a smoother effect overall.

The Sony MDR-NC500D noise-cancelling headphones do a fantastic job of blocking out repetitive ambient noise. When listening to music they also acquit themselves well, with clear sound and a pleasant character.

Just like the MDR-XB700s, these headphones are bass-focused. They are a little more forgiving than their larger sibling though, so if you want more natural music reproduction these are a good choice.
