If you're after a small laptop that also has a little bit of speed, then the Toshiba Satellite T110 is a good choice. It's not perfect -- we think its touchpad and keyboard could be better, and its glossy screen is annoying -- but it's got plenty of useful features, it's relatively light and it has very good battery life.

The Samsung S3653 is an admirable touch-screen mobile phone considering its target market, but the lack of 3G connectivity is a bitter pill to swallow.

Dell's Precision M2400 Mobile Workstation is a 14.1in powerhouse that's aimed at users who want to run demanding design applications. We like its build quality and speed, but wish that it came with a few more features given it costs over $3000.

The TomTom car kit for iPhone works exactly as intended and provides a secure and practical way to mount your smartphone in the car. It’s a little expensive and many will point out that the iPhone's GPS performance should have been better in the first place. However, if you regularly use your iPhone as your primary navigator then it comes highly recommended.

LG's Chocolate BL40 boasts excellent build quality and a flashy, if unconventional, design. The interface does have its issues and the oddly-shaped design does take a while to grasp, but it has plenty of features.

Although this printer is expandable and holds lots of paper, it falls short in fundamental areas.

The absence of an office application, like a word processor or spreadsheet is a curious oversight. And hopefully, future revisions of Moblin will be optimised, and its web browser will become Web 2.0-friendlier.

The Netgear Stora (MS2110) is a simple and sleek NAS device for the home that offers an easy to use Web-based interface and remote access for media files. The initial price tag is certainly appealing, but there is an annual fee for remote access.

There were a few glitches in the rendering of Windows 7 virtual machines, but not enough to spoil the essential operation of this powerful package. We’ll cover the new Parallels 5 in a forthcoming review to see how the two options now compare. In the meantime, we found that in Fusion 3, VMware has made some notable and useful improvements over its predecessor, adding a some extra speed, along with the key upgrade in the appearance of Windows Vista and later Microsoft OSes.

Those in the market for a colour laser probably won’t drop their sights to the Oki C110, but as an alternative to an inkjet it makes an incredible amount of sense. Fast and capable of high-quality print that comfortably outclasses almost all inkjets, it's excellent for text work. And the Oki C110's colour output is, while a bit slow, quite good enough for most tasks. Those who do lots of photo printing might want to look elsewhere, but for the general purpose user who can look past the C110’s lack of physical flair, this is an excellent model.

Though still far from perfect, BlackBerry's Storm2 improves greatly on its ill-fated predecessor. BlackBerry addicts still won't appreciate the cramped touch-screen keyboard and the interface could do with a facelift, but the large display, the addition of Wi-Fi and improvements to the OS make it a decent effort.

Given that we were running beta code, Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 was fairly complete and solid. Be mindful that it's 64-bit, so you need Windows Server 2008 and 64-bit Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008. And you'll have a better experience with Office 2010. Otherwise, exercising the beta should give you a head start on planning your migration.

The CPL Core i5 750 desktop PC is well built, fast and looks reasonably menacing. It can be used for gaming as well as office work and video editing and it has plenty of room for expansion. For $1710, we think it's a pretty good buy.
