    Sony Bravia KDL40ZX1 LCD TV 17/06/2009 11:16:00

This ultra-thin Sony Full HD LCD television has LED backlighting, 100Hz and high-definition wireless streaming.
The Sony Bravia KDL40ZX1 is a Full HD LCD television that uses a high-definition wireless media streamer for delivering video. It is a great demonstration of the direction LCD television technology is taking and it comes highly recommended -- if you can cope with the outrageous price tag.

    Sony BRAVIA KDL55XBR45 11/03/2009 17:30:00

Sony's BRAVIA KDL55XBR45 vs Samsung's Series 9 LA55A950: which is a better Full HD TV? We take a look the 55in Sony BRAVIA KDL55XBR45 television and compare it to its direct rival from Samsung.
The Sony BRAVIA KDL55XBR45 LCD television is a 55in panel with LED backlighting, Full HD 1080p resolution and a striking 'floating glass' design. This is a great recipe for a class-leading LCD television, although it does have a high price-tag.

    Sony SRS-GU10iP 24/02/2009 10:20:00

This Sony iPod dock works with both the iPhone and iPhone 3G.
The Sony SRS-GU10IP is a standalone speaker system designed for the Apple iPod and iPhone. Despite boasting a stylish design and producing reasonable sound, the Sony SRS-GU10iP offers no particularly enticing features given its relatively steep asking price.

    Sony KDL-46XBR45 12/01/2009 15:00:00

One of the best televisions we have seen, but it has a hefty price tag.
Sony’s KDL-46XBR45 is very expensive, even when compared to its direct rivals like the Samsung Series 9 (LA46A950). It is part of Sony’s flagship series and while it is chock-full of class-leading features, it does not offer the value for money of its competitors.

    Sony MDR-XB40EX 06/01/2009 13:10:00

    The largest tiny earphones ever.
Sony’s MDR-XB40EX in-ear canal-phones are designed for lovers of big bass beats, with great isolation and very low frequency extension. While this makes them well suited to hip hop or drum 'n' bass, they are not as suitable as some other headphones for overall fidelity and sound quality.

    Sony MDR-XB700 18/12/2008 09:20:00

Like putting pillows on your ears.
Sony’s xTra Bass range of headphones are designed for bass lovers. You know them well -- they drive through your suburb late at night with drum'n'bass blasting, while windows shake in their frames and family pets hide under tables. Imagine all that aural confrontation boxed up into an equally offensive (in looks, at least) pair of headphones.

    Sony MDR-XB500 18/12/2008 12:30:00

The bass-head’s younger, more sensible brother.
Sony’s MDR-XB500 headphones sit under the MDR-XB700s in the company's line-up, offering slightly inferior specifications but a lower price-tag.

    Sony VAIO VGNTT15GNR 09/12/2008 16:40:00

A smooth and sexy ultraportable laptop.
There's a good reason that Sony's 11.1in VAIO VGNTT15GNR has a red lid — it's to highlight just how good its screen is. Not only that, it gives this ultraportable unit an undeniable appeal. But there is more to the VGNTT15GNR than good looks and a well-performing screen -- it is easy to use, and it is equipped with plenty of features.

    Sony HDR-FX1000 28/11/2008 09:31:00

    Old school class
Despite having been all but abandoned by the consumer-level camcorder industry, HDV remains the high-definition format of choice for serious videographers. No other codec offers the same level of support and reliability, nor the comforting familiarity for those reared on digital tape. The HDR-FX1000 continues Sony’s commitment to this veteran format, offering professional HD video in a MiniDV-sized package. While it lacks some of the high-end features needed for broadcast-quality productions (most notably XLR inputs and an interchangeable lens) it remains a solid entry-point for budding freelancers. From its user-interface to its video performance, every facet of this camera is steeped in sheer class.

    Sony DAV-IS50 21/11/2008 15:30:00

    A space-friendly home theatre system.
The DAV-IS50 is a DVD home theatre system with Sony’s trademark golf-ball sized satellite speakers and an interesting subwoofer design. It offers a lot of flexibility in speaker placement, but it compromises on overall sound quality. Nevertheless, plenty of functionality means that this is a home theatre system that will capably handle your standard-definition cinema needs.

    Sony Bravia KDL40Z4500 13/11/2008 16:20:00

    Australia's first TV with a 200Hz mode.
The new technologies seem to be flying thick and fast in the TV space lately. First 100Hz and 24p, followed by LED backlights, and now Sony has brought to market the first unit with a 200Hz mode -- the Z4500. It features all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a high-end panel, and it satisfied in almost every image quality test, meaning it is yet another appealing high-def TV.
