In pictures: Canon's new laser printers and inkjet multifunctions

A closer look at the latest additions to Canon's laser printer and PIXMA inkjet line-ups

PIXMA MP990 inkjet multifunction

The PIXMA MP990 is the premium home-focussed inkjet multifunction in Canon's PIXMA range. Like the PIXMA MP640, this multifunction is largely the same as its predecessor (the PIXMA MP980) save for minor aesthetic differences, direct USB printing and improved software. There is still a lot to like however — you get CD/DVD printing, automatic duplex, Wi-Fi connectivity and an Auto Scan function that automatically recognises the original's format and saves accordingly. You can also scan 35mm slides and negatives.
