AMD doesn't get a lot of airtime when it comes to notebooks (or anything else these days), but the HP Pavilion DV2-1001AU is a swift and thin model that's well worth your attention. It's a 12.1in laptop, so it's slightly bigger than a netbook, yet it's three times as powerful. It initially cost $1299 when we reviewed it last month, but you can pick it up from Landmark Computers for $999.
