The 10 best Chrome extensions for work and play

Some of these add-ons for Google's browser will boost productivity and some are just plain fun.

What's missing? No doubt you've noticed that Julie Bort's list does not include one of the most popular extensions, an ad blocker. Believe it or not, Google does offer ad blockers and flash animation blockers. It also offers extensions that block ads from specific sites, like Facebook. So why didn't any make it to the list? Bort says, "Although ads can be annoying, magazines and newspapers are hurt by ad blockers. Given the state of newspapers during these economic times, and the fact that I earn my living from that advertising supported medium, I don't use them and couldn't bring myself to recommend any." Are there any other favorite extensions you'd like to see on the list?

I think of all of these the adblocker is key. I know it doesn't help advertisers, but it sure brings down the irritation level of surfing the net. I went for awhile without installing one, and only recently attached it to my torch browser, and oh what a difference it makes!!

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
