HP ProBook 4510s notebook

Price: $943 (Save $546)

You'll look like you mean business if you pick up HP's ProBook 4510s notebook: it's a 15.6in laptop with an Intel Core 2 Duo T6570 CPU and 4GB of RAM. It has plenty of speed to run almost anything you throw its way — except the latest 3D games, so parents take note. The size and excellent keyboard of the ProBook 4510s make it a joy to use, and its 6-cell battery means you'll be able to use it away from a power outlet for almost three hours. You can pick it up from Officeworks for $943; that's $546 off its original price of $1489.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
