We all know that iPhone apps will work on Apple's new iPad, but what do they look like when they're magnified to fit the screen?

Apple's iPad may have been delayed in Australia until the end of May, but we've been lucky enough to get our hands on an imported US iPad well before launch. This has given us an opportunity to put the much hyped tablet through its paces, including seeing just how the 150,000+ existing iPhone apps look on the large, 9.7in display. So without further ado, here's what iPhone apps look like on the Apple iPad.

Facebook for iPhone as displayed on the iPad. In regular mode, iPhone apps will be displayed in their normal size, with a black background filling the rest of the screen.
