Ten great games with terrible storylines

Nice video game, shame about the plot...

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves mimics the action movie blockbuster superbly -- which is to say it’s hugely entertaining, but also kinda dumb. It's essentially a generic slice of Indiana Jones Lite, with some Tomb Raider thrown in for good measure.

The epic set pieces in Uncharted 2 are offset by some very pedestrian storytelling. Sure, the characters are engaging and likeable, but the tale they star in is completely bereft of innovation. Throw Tia Carrere into the mix and you could be watching an episode of Relic Hunter (with slighty higher production values). To top it off, it suffers from a hugely underwhelming ending: one of the biggest no-nos of effective storytelling.

Like Michael Bay's cinematic oeuvre, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is all about the quips and the spectacle.

to the author of this crap...

if you don't understand video games, p!ss off and have wink.

or else write about something that interests you, like, dandelions and pissybeds...

    You runt

    Ghost25

man whoever wrote this is a f-cking jackass, if your too much of f-cking idiot to understand the plots of these game then don't play them. and how dare you say that metal gear solid's plot sucks, do you not even realize that the whole metal gear solid series is better than most movies that even come out. whoever wrote this go kill yourself, and find another job too because writing articles is definitely nothing you excel at.

I love the Metal Gear Solid series, but even I can admit it started getting "WTF?" by game 2.

    Videogame fan

I disagree heavily with many entries on this list, although I DO agree that FF7's story line is pretty bad, but for a different reason.

I was a HUGE FF fan at one point, and had played all of the games, but had not gotten around to get FF7. I had managed to play through 4 and 6, and finally borrowed 7 from a friend.

After completing it, I was horribly disappointed. FF4 and 6 just were written so much better.

After playing 7, I played X, and after that, I quit FF. Those were two of the most dull, boring games ever, in my opinion.

Also, to talk about Mario is not really fair. You're talking a game from a time where people didn't care about storylines. Pac-Man has a bad story too you know, absolutely terrible!

After reading this I came to a conclusion. This guy's an idiot. If he can't understand something then that's bad story-telling? No dude, you're a retard, that's what.

Why Aeries came to save the world at the of FFVII even thought she was dead? Because she became one with the life stream after Sephiroth killed her, everybody that dies becomes one with it, that is their heaven. She was one of those special personsn (an ancient) from an old race that had certain powers that others didn't have and the idea of Sephiroth was to make Meteor do a big enough hole in the planet to become one with the life stream (which is the spirit of the planet Gaia). He thought that he was the most powerful being on the planet and that if he became one with the life stream he could dominate all. You know, like a GOD?

Pretty simple dude but for a retard like you? Well, what can you expect? I mean, Uncharted 2 and MGS4 bad story? You are a J-O-K-E!

Do you even go to school or because you find too challenging you had to drop out?

"You were almost a Jill sandwich!"

  • Chaos

I have to disagree with the Author and I sincerely doubt this person has played the game. Fantasy is a very easy genre to bash by using generalists’ propaganda. Playing to the populist crowd by saying 'people who enjoy this games needs to get laid' is poor journalism.

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
