Rally demands Gillard government condemn Assange's arrest

Sydney supporters of WikiLeaks this afternoon rallied at Town Hall Square to demand that the federal government condemn Julian Assange's arrest. The protest was chaired by author Antony Loewenstein and speakers included the Greens' Lee Rhiannon and MLC David Shoebridge, Simon Butler, a co-editor of Green Left Weekly and one of the rally's organisers, and Simon Frew from the Pirate Party.
