In Pictures: Tech's biggest flops of 2012 (so far)

The tech world moves so fast that you've probably forgotten about at least some of the big flops that have already happened this year. Here's a quick rundown to keep you in the loop.

Patent Wars

Even people who aren't techie in the least have heard of the 8,232,526 patent wars currently going on: Apple's suing Motorola, HTC, and Samsung (and vice versa); Oracle and Google are going at it; Yahoo sued Facebook; and Nokia, Microsoft, and Google are all getting angry--to name just a few. Basically, everyone is suing everyone, and apparently this is a sign of "robust innovation," according to the director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, David Kappos. But it really looks like a flop.
