In pictures: the Canon EOS 6D

We got our hands on Canon's new entry-level EOS 6D DSLR

The EOS 6D can record Full High Definition movies (1920x1080 pixels), at 30p, 25p, or 24p. 720p is recorded at 60p or 50p. 640x480 pixel movies can be recorded at 30p or 25p. The camera continues recording continuously thanks to an automatic 4GB file partitioning process.

The viewfinder on the camera covers 97% of the sensor's field of view. The EOS 6D's autofocus is an 11-point system — better than the 5D Mark II's but worse than the 7D's. 6 amateur-friendly shooting modes make the 6D easy to use, and a 63-zone metering sensor also helps out with automatic scene recognition.
