Cover versions

Two different kinds of protective covers will be available for the Surface: Touch and Type. Both magnetically attach along one side of the length of the tablet, and, when not used to protect the tablet’s screen, both have a keyboard on the inside of the cover. The keyboard of the Touch version is made of a flat, rubbery material, and it comes included with the Surface. Microsoft said the Surface will emit key-click sounds to aid the user in touch-typing in lieu of tactile feedback.
