Star Wars has been licensed to death in the gaming world, with just about every nook and cranny mined dry of any mystery it might've once possessed.
JVC's GZ-MG505 hard drive based camcorder offers the buyer solid performance. With triple CCD technology, a 30GB hard drive, five megapixel still images and a compact frame, the GZ-MG505 sounds very impressive on paper. In reality, while its video pe...
The newest member of the Palm Treo smart phone family, the Treo 700wx, isn't just a cousin of the other models -- it's practically an identical twin of the existing 700w. Whether that's a good thing depends on your point of view.
The newest entry into Panasonic's lineup of compact cameras, the Lumix DMC-FX07 is a decent but not outstanding compact camera. Its 7.2 megapixel sensor didn't perform quite up to expectations in our sharpness and noise tests although its colour resu...
The FX50 is another solid compact camera from Panasonic. Part of their new range, it appeared to be very similar to the FX07 which we looked at recently. That is until we ran our imaging tests and discovered that unlike its compatriot, the FX50 perfo...
Videographers now have a new Web outlet for their mini-masterpieces with the Tuesday introduction of the beta version of Microsoft's Soapbox on MSN Video video-sharing service.
It has long been suggested that the apex of human civilisation was achieved the moment someone decided it would be a really cool idea if monkeys were inserted into translucent balls and made to roll around for everyone's amusement. Monkey Ball was an...
The Nokia E61 3G capable smart phone just about has it all: full QWERTY keyboard, large display, push email support, native Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and even the ability to make VoIP calls.
The Sony Ericsson Z550i is a competent and well designed mid-range mobile phone with a number of excellent features. It combines sleek and stylish looks with a 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity and a music player.
Lenovo's 3000 series N100 is a solid all purpose notebook. Its performance in our testing exceeded our expectations, and while it is fairly basic in terms of both design and aesthetics, it is a good choice for working both from home and on the road. ...
One of the big advantages of developing ASP.Net 2.0 Web sites with Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Web Developer Express is that you can accomplish a great deal in design mode by dragging, dropping, and configuring components before manipulating the com...

The Lenovo 3000 N100 notebook is available in a number of configurations. Lenovo sent us two versions for testing: the 0768-A27 and the 0768-A31. The N100 0768- A31 has a slower processor, a lower quality display and less hard drive space than the [[...
There are an awful lot of nice things to say about Philips' HTS9800W home theatre system. This 6.1 wireless home theatre system has an air of Bang & Olufsen about it, minus the price tag. Wafer thin speakers combine with a vertically mounted DVD play...
Philips' DVDR 7300H is a 250GB HDD/DVD recorder with more features than hooligans at an English soccer match. The lack of a digital tuner is a bit of a let down though, as is the unfriendly interface.

First impression on unpacking the Q702 test unit was the solid feel and clean, minimalist styling.
For work use, Microsoft Word and Excel programs pre-installed on the device are adequate for preparing short documents.
The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.
The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.
My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
