Top rated mobile phones: September 2011

Find out our top rated smartphones for the month leading up to September.

Looking for a new mobile phone? Why not start with our top rated selections? These mobile phones are a rank of the top 10 mobile phones based on review scores by the PC World Australia editorial team in the year leading up to September 2011.

HTC is the leading manufacturer in our September list, dominating with four spots in the top 10 including the flagship HTC Sensation and the newly launched HTC Desire S.

Samsung's popular Galaxy S II remains our number one pick, closely followed by the surprisingly good Telstra EasyCall 2. Other models include the slick Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc, the LG Optimus Black and the Motorola Atrix.

We test all smartphones accurately and to the highest standards, so that our readers are as informed as possible. Our review process is designed to ensure that smartphones are assessed equally. The basic criteria used by our reviewers includes value, features, performance and design. We rate each product using a five-star scale, with one star being poor, and five stars being highly recommended.
