There were a few glitches in the rendering of Windows 7 virtual machines, but not enough to spoil the essential operation of this powerful package. We’ll cover the new Parallels 5 in a forthcoming review to see how the two options now compare. In the meantime, we found that in Fusion 3, VMware has made some notable and useful improvements over its predecessor, adding a some extra speed, along with the key upgrade in the appearance of Windows Vista and later Microsoft OSes.

We found Camtasia exceptional for quickly assembling videos that combine previously recorded video material, still images, on-screen text, and callouts. But when you get down to the finest levels of detail during post-production, the program neglects to give you a way to trim a cut without using a slider in the user interface.

The Domino's Pizza iPhone app has a couple of missing features, but if you regularly order pizza then this app is excellent; the missing functions will more than likely be added in future updates. This app is intuitive to use and well designed.

Although Easeus Todo Backup isn't the best imaging/backup program out there, it has by far the best price - free. Macrium Reflect also comes in a free version, but doesn't mount images. Todo Backup works well and offers everything most users need. What's not to like?

Version 8 upholds Photoshop Elements' reputation as one of the top consumer-level photo editing programs. Its new edit tools, content, and templates are certainly appealing. If you already have Photoshop Elements 7, however, note that the primary reason to upgrade to Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 is the new edition's improved facility for keywording and managing your database of media. If your collection of photos is small, you may be fine sticking with 7.
