Best tablet buys: January 2012

Want a tablet but limited by a budget? Check our best tablet buys.

PC World Australia's best buys are a rank of the top five tablets based on perceived value for money leading up to January 2012.

Although the tablet market is dominated by Apple's iPad, the market leader isn't exactly the cheapest proposition. It is here in the best buy category that Google's Android platform shines through, making up four out of five selections in our January list.

Although many of these Android tablets originally came with a price tag similar to Apple's iPad 2, almost all of them have dropped in price. You can now save hundreds of dollars on the original RRP if you shop around.

The only non-Android tablet on our January list is the BlackBerry PlayBook. You can now find this for under $300 at various retailers.
