End User Optimism For Australian Economy Is At Its Highest Since 2001, Finds IDC

 • 22 September, 2004 14:18

NORTH SYDNEY, September 22nd, 2004 – IDC has recently conducted the latest Market Sentiment Monitor survey of Australian organisations with more than 100 employees. This quarterly survey examines respondent’s sentiment on the economic climate, business prospects, and IT budgets among other areas. The feedback from the latest survey is very positive and reveals some interesting findings.

IDC found that the sentiment towards the economic climate was the highest since the first survey was conducted in October 2001. This is a positive sign for the Australian economy and is further supported by recent economic data that indicates strong growth for the health of profits for Australian companies.

The latest survey also revealed that there was a shift in the focus for business priorities when compared to the previous survey conducted in March 2004. Respondents identified the two most important business priorities for the coming six months as:
1. improving customer service
2. improving infrastructure & increasing productivity

Michael Sager, Market Analyst, noted that, “The increased focus on improving customer service is an encouraging sign. It shows that local companies are once again looking externally to service their customers."

IT budgets continue to remain positive, but dynamics of that spending have changed over the last few years. The return on investment, linkages to corporate strategy, and relation to the bottom line are important considerations for Australian organisations in the current and future market,” added Mr. Sager.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
