Adobe debuts new software line-up for digital video and photo hobbyists

 • 16 September, 2004 11:38

Adobe Systems today announced two new products for digital photo and video hobbyists. Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 software adds new organisation and sharing functionality, as well as the latest image editing tools to the number one selling consumer photo editing software. Adobe Premiere Elements software delivers the professional-level results consumers expect from Adobe in an all-new product that combines simple video capture, sophisticated editing and quick output to DVD.

Available as separate products, Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 and Adobe Premiere Elements also can be purchased together in a single retail package for Windows users. Combined, these products deliver affordable software that customers need to easily blend still photos with video clips. Consumers can then create dynamic slideshows and photo-rich video projects, which can be burned to DVD and easily viewed by friends and family on the TV screen.

Photoshop Elements 3.0 adds new ways to organise photos and share photos, to the award-winning photo editing functionality that has long been a hallmark of the product. Customers can now share photos with friends and family that include framed photos within an e-mail; dynamic slideshows that include music and special effect transitions; and access to high quality photo prints via easy-to-use online print services. Photoshop Elements 3.0 also adds new editing solutions, including one-click fixes that quickly enhance photos, as well as more sophisticated editing tools that allow people to remove imperfections, transform photos with effects and filters and correct colour and lighting (see separate release for details).

Adobe Premiere Elements, combines creative control and automation to capture and edit video, apply special effects, generate professional titles and credits and burn to DVD, making it easy to watch home videos on TV (see separate release for details).

Adobe offers a complete family of Photoshop products that meet the needs of a diverse spectrum of digital photographers - from the casual snapshooter to the professional user.
