Norton SystemWorks: Office 2000-ready

Symantec has announced its latest version of Norton SystemWorks, which contains Norton AntiVirus 5.0, is Office 2000-ready.

Version 2.0 of the utility suite was launched last week, priced at $229, and including: Norton CleanSweep 4.5, Norton Utilities, Norton CrashGuard 4.0 and a six-month subscription to Norton Web Services.

According to the company, Symantec has worked closely with Microsoft to ensure Norton AntiVirus provides "the most effective antivirus detection and repair for Office 2000 viruses across the desktop, file server, groupware server and gateway".

In addition, the company says its LiveUpdate service has already commenced providing engine and virus definition updates for Office 2000.
