• 17 July, 2007 16:02

Acronis, Inc. (http://www.acronis.com.au), a leading developer of storage management software, today strengthened its presence in the Australian and New Zealand markets with the opening of an office in North Sydney, Australia, and senior local appointments.

Bill Taylor-Mountford has been appointed General Manager of Acronis ANZ, responsible for Acronis’ business growth in ANZ with an emphasis on channel and business strategies, and execution. He has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry and a strong understanding of the storage market in ANZ.

Taylor-Mountford heads a new team that includes Sales Manager Simon Howe for the enterprise and SME market; Distribution Manager Ian Tan; and Sergey Zimin, systems support for Acronis ANZ.

“This new office opening reaffirms Acronis’ commitment to the Australian and New Zealand markets, and positions us more strongly to take advantage of the growing demand for storage software,” said Walter Scott, CEO of Acronis. “According to the market research firm IDC, the growing focus on information management, compliance, and standards will become critical drivers for the storage software market in the Asia Pacific region over the next three years.”

“Acronis will now be able to provide better customer support and respond more quickly to local market demands,” added Taylor-Mountford. “In this financial year, we plan to build and broaden our channel relationships to provide a stronger focus on the SMB/SME sector. We will also be rolling out new products for enterprise and home users over the next few months.”

Acronis products are distributed through Manaccom in Australia. Acronis enterprise customers in ANZ include VicRoads, BHP, Redcliffe City Council and City of Port Adelaide.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
