Integrated Research rounds off third quarter with high-profile PROGNOSIS sales

Sydney – April 6, 2004 – Australian software developer Integrated Research (ASX:IRIR)(IR) has closed several high-profile sales of its PROGNOSIS systems management products to end the third financial quarter.

New PROGNOSIS customers in the US include the US Navy-affiliated financial services company Navy Federal Credit Union and the New York Department of Corrections. PROGNOSIS was also sold to Netherlands Antilles-based telecommunications company United Telecommunications Services.

Existing PROGNOSIS customers that have made significant reinvestments in the product over the last quarter include Japanese financial services company Aiful, Michigan’s Oakwood Healthcare and Vodacom, South Africa’s largest mobile phone services company.

“We’re seeing demand on several fronts including international growth and more solid uptake of Voice over IP (VoIP) which is encouraging for us because it means we’re meeting the objectives in developing PROGNOSIS for different markets,” says IR president and CEO Steve Killelea.

“The core architecture of the products has always been aimed squarely at high-availability, high-impact environments like banks, stock exchanges, health providers, and telecommunications companies,” he adds.

Killelea says that new markets [such as VoIP] emerge in e-business driven global economies have very similar requirements: to make their systems available 24x7 and deliver non-stop service to their customers.

“Our successes in these geographically and vertically diverse markets indicate that demand is not limited to a market niches or locations but is becoming more commonplace as high availability becomes a global business standard.”
