VERITAS Australia Announces New Pricing

SYDNEY, Australia – April 22, 2004 – VERITAS Software (VRTSE) today announced the adjustment of its price list, reducing prices by 12 per cent across its entire product portfolio. The adjustment follows the strengthening of the Australian dollar and the desire for VERITAS to pass the benefits from this onto its customer base.

“Delivering the best possible solutions to our customers is VERITAS’ overall philosophy and passing on any cost savings directly to our customers and channel partners is a natural extension of this philosophy,” said Bruce Lakin, acting Managing Director and Head of Channels for VERITAS in Australia and New Zealand.

Working with major customers directly and with the channel for all other areas of its business, the adjustment will see VERITAS customers of all sizes gaining direct benefits. “Our business is primarily channel-led, so adjustments of this nature are a great incentive for resellers to work with VERITAS as we continue to support them with great products, training and education schemes as well as pricing that directly reflects the market,” continued Lakin.

The adjustments are effective immediately. For further information on VERITAS’ pricing or its product offerings see www.veritas.com/au.
