Optima expands management team in readiness for growth

<p>SYDNEY, Australia -- Australia’s largest computer manufacturer, Optima Technology Solutions (ASX:OPI), has made several senior appointments recently as it prepares itself for its next growth phase.</p>
<p>Marie Evans has been appointed to the role of Marketing Communications Manager. Ms Evans has previously held marketing positions at Lucent Technologies, Siltek Asia Pacific and, most recently, Acer Computer.</p>
<p>In her new role at Optima Ms Evans will be responsible for developing channel and customer marketing programs for the company’s desktop and notebook PCs, and server product ranges.</p>
<p>Sue Hartmann has joined Optima in the role of National Education Sales Manager. Sue was previously with Volante Systems for 15 years where she managed large education, government and corporate accounts.</p>
<p>Education customers account for almost half of Optima's business and Ms Hartmann will be responsible for extending the company's share within this strategic market.</p>
<p>Optima has appointed Justin Taylor as Executive Director of Finance. Mr Taylor has held various executive financial positions over the last 15 years, particularly in manufacturing companies. Most recently with European windows covering manufacturer, Hunter Douglas NV, where he held the position of Director - Finance, Mr Taylor will oversee the financial activities and reporting at the publicly listed company.</p>
<p>"Optima has continued to grow steadily over recent years," said Cornel Ung, Managing Director, Optima Technology Solutions. "This year as we celebrate our 15th anniversary we are preparing for the next phase in the development of our company with a move to larger premises and the appointment of new senior managers who bring a range of skills to the company which will support our continued expansion in the education and general business markets."</p>
