Network Appliance, the leader in advanced networked storage solutions for today’s data-intensive enterprise, has announced the appointment of Melissa Spencer in the role of Sales Operations Manager, South Asia. She will continue to be based in Sydney.

She was previously the Administrator of Network Appliance Australia and New Zealand, an operation that has seen its revenues exceed 60 per cent growth in each of the past three years.

The company’s South Asia region encompasses India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, in addition to Australia and New Zealand.

In her new role, Melissa Spencer will take responsibility for the region-wide control of all sales-related logistics including functional planning, customer billing, delivery scheduling and fulfilment, forecasting, and sales force remuneration plans.

She joined Network Appliance in May 2000 at the time the company made its transition to direct representation in the Australian market. She had previously been with the company’s local distributor, ProVision.

Congratulating her on her new appointment, Simon Green, Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand said, “This promotion to an enlarged role is very well deserved. Melissa is an outstanding performer and I have no doubt that she will manage sales logistics at the South Asia level every bit as tightly as she has done locally for the past four years.”
