Macromedia Appoints Mark Blair as Server Product Manager, Asia Pacific

<p>SYDNEY Australia – 17 May 2004 - Macromedia (Nasdaq: MACR) has appointed Mark Blair as server product manager for Asia Pacific. In this role, he will develop and support the Macromedia server business across Australia, Greater China, Korea and South East Asia by working with customers and partners to drive awareness of existing and emerging server technologies.</p>
<p>Macromedia created the new position to support the roll-out of significant new server technologies, such as Macromedia Flex, and to further develop existing technologies including ColdFusion, Flash Communication Server and JRun.</p>
<p>Blair first joined Macromedia in 2000 following its successful merger with Allaire, having worked as a senior consultant for Allaire for the previous two years. In 2002 he joined Brisbane-based enterprise application management vendor, Wily Technology, as senior technical consultant. He returned to Macromedia in 2004 to take on the Asia Pacific role.</p>
<p>“We are delighted to have Mark re-join the Macromedia team,” said John Biviano, managing director, Macromedia Australia and New Zealand. “We recognise the requirement to work closely with our customers and partners to develop advanced server applications in Asia Pacific. The experience Mark has gained in enterprise application management will be invaluable in helping our clients to deliver rich Internet experiences.”</p>
<p>Before joining Allaire, Mark worked as a consultant for seven years with many high profile companies across Australia, Europe and North America in the telecommunications, finance and retail industries developing powerful web applications using both Allaire and Macromedia products. These companies included Telstra, British Telecom and ANZ Bank.</p>
<p>Mark was educated in England and graduated with an honours degree in design from Sheffield University in 1995.</p>
