The new black: Ricoh launches low cost colour laser printer

 • 11 April, 2005 16:40

Ricoh introduces a new concept in laser printing with the launch of the Aficio CL4000DN desktop printer. The first low cost black-and-white network laser printer with the added value of colour, the CL4000DN eliminates the need to ever buy a mono printer again.

Specifically designed for small to medium businesses with occasional colour printing needs, the CL4000DN is a cost effective alternative to standalone colour inkjets or outsourcing.

Priced to compete with the running costs of equivalent dedicated mono laser printers, the Aficio CL4000DN is the perfect introduction to network colour. However with 25ppm in both black-and-white and colour, along with high quality 1,200 dpi resolution, the CL4000DN has the ability to grow with your colour requirements.

A major deterrent when purchasing colour laser printers has been the high cost per page print. A black-and-white print on the CL4000DN is priced at standard B&W laser prices and is up to half the current cost of a black and white print on other colour devices. Colour prints are also competitively priced.

By utilising Ricoh’s User Code Access, the CL4000DN can function as a black-and-white network printer with colour restricted to only those who need it. And for added security the CL4000DN offers optional data encryption when transferring files over the network.

Optimising productivity and efficiency, this office speed-star comes standard with a duplex unit and maintains its speed even when printing double sided documents.

Offering flexible paper handling, the CL4000DN comes standard with a 550-sheet paper drawer and 100-sheet bypass tray. Two additional paper trays can be added taking its total paper capacity to 1,750 sheets.

Exceptionally high toner yields and paper capacity allow for minimal user intervention, longer print runs and enhanced productivity. All consumables can be easily accessed by the end user delivering a streamlined, cost-effective solution.

To meet growing business needs, the CL4000DN can be enhanced with the optional Ricoh Aficio IS200e Image Scanner that provides full colour and black-and-white scanning.

Designed for small to medium businesses and large workgroups, the CL4000DN puts colour and black-and-white printing at users’ fingertips at an unmatched total cost of ownership.

The Aficio CL4000DN is now available at a suggested retail price of $3,195 inc GST.

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.
