Byron Riessen Appointed EMC’s Account Executive For South Australia

<p>SYDNEY, Australia – April 27, 2005 – EMC Corporation, the world leader in information storage management, today announced the appointment of Byron Riessen to the position of account executive with responsibility for sales, business development and product marketing activities in South Australia.</p>
<p>Steve Redman, EMC’s managing director in Australia and New Zealand said, “Byron’s appointment is just one of several investments EMC will be making over the next 18 months to service the growing demand for our offerings in the area.</p>
<p>“Byron’s extensive IT sales background and understanding of the local market will enable EMC to further strengthen our relationships with our partners and integrators including EDS, Dell, Commander and Dimension Data. He also comes to EMC with a proven record, given his tenure as co-founder and business development director of software company Foursticks.”</p>
<p>Fraser Nicholson, EDS executive director for the Government of South Australia, also welcomed the EMC investment - “EMC is a key global partner in the EDS Agility Alliance, helping our customers like the South Australian Government to slash costs with information management and to meet compliance requirements. Mr. Riessen will provide the Agility Alliance with some real fire power.”</p>
<p>While at Foursticks, Riessen helped enterprises such as Bridgestone, Hardy Wines, the South Australian Government and Santos align their IT spending with business priorities.</p>
