HP’s Cost-Effective Photo Value Packs Makes Home Printing a Reality for Everyone</p>
<p>Sydney, Australia, May 11, 2005 – Hewlett-Packard (HP) has cut the cost of home photo printing with the launch of its new HP Photo Value Packs – designed to bring vivid, true to life images at only 50 cents per photo print¹.</p>
<p>The photo value packs include HP’s Vivera Ink and HP Premium Plus Photo Paper and are a fast and cost-effective means of producing the highest quality prints at home or on-the-go.</p>
<p>The new bundled solution follows HP’s review of consumer views on home printing. In HP-led focus groups, consumers indicated they were unsure about the benefits of home printing, such as cost, ease-of-use and quality compared to traditional shop-processed prints. The HP Photo Value Packs directly addresses consumer demand for affordable home photo printing solutions.</p>
<p>“Our aim is to continually innovate to provide consumers with options for greater convenience, control and quality – to view, edit and print photos, at any time, in the comfort of their home, and at an affordable price of 50 cents per print.” said Rebekah O’Flaherty, Vice President and General Manager, Imaging &amp; Printing Group, HP South Pacific.</p>
<p>“With the common practice of people displaying their best photos in decorative frames at home or work, affordability, print quality and fade-resistance have become important photo attributes,” said O’Flaherty.</p>

Included in HP’s bundled packages is the new range of HP ‘Vivera’ ink cartridges designed to deliver brighter, clearer, sharper true-to-life photo colours, offering up to 115 years fade resistance - more than twice that of shop-processed prints. Improvements in the cartridge design also allows faster and more efficient printing speeds of up to 40 per cent for high-quality black text and graphics.</p>
