Embarcadero Appoints George Kaponay as New Director for the Asia Pacific Region

<p>Melbourne, Australia - 3 August, 2004 - Embarcadero Technologies, a provider of data lifecycle management solutions, today announced the appointment of George Kaponay as Director for the Asia Pacific region. Kaponay brings with him a wealth of experience with more than 10 years in IT sales and business development with companies such as Compuware Asia Pacific and BMC Software.</p>
<p>Prior to joining Embarcadero, Kaponay held the position of executive director &amp; CEO for start up organisation SuperEasy Pty Ltd where he was responsible for the development and organic growth of the overall organisation and, in particular, for its business to business and business to consumer sales channels. From a standing start Kaponay established partner relationships with some of the World’s largest financial institutions and moving from 0 customers managed to sell services to nearly 2000 of Australia’s high net wealth clients.</p>
<p>Kaponay has also held sales positions at Compuware Asia-Pacific where he consistently over achieved targets and received a major regional sales award for outstanding achievements and BMC Software where clients included major financial, consulting and retail organisations and where he successfully pioneered new markets.</p>
