EMC Appoints Mark Innes As ANZ General Manager For EMC Documentum

<p>SYDNEY, Australia – July 26, 2005 – EMC Corporation, the world leader in information storage and management, today announced the appointment of Mark Innes as general manager for EMC Documentum in Australia and New Zealand. In his new role, he will be at the local helm of a key company in the EMC Software Group.</p>
<p>Innes has more than 20 years’ international IT experience working for global companies in senior sales and management positions in Australia, the United Kingdom and South Africa. He joins Documentum from webMethods, a global software company where he was managing director for Australia and New Zealand.</p>
<p>Steve Redman, managing director of EMC Australia and New Zealand, commented, “Mark’s proven skills as a motivated, results-driven leader with a track record of consistent over-achievement will greatly aid EMC in further accelerating the use of EMC software among all businesses, no matter the size, and in extending our market leadership position in the SMB, mid-tier and enterprise sectors.”</p>
<p>Formed in July 2004, EMC Software Group includes EMC’s core open software and its acquired software businesses – Legato, SMARTS, Dantz and Documentum – and is responsible for advancing integrated information lifecycle management (ILM) strategies to manage a customer’s information from creation to disposal.</p>
<p>Innes commented, “This is a truly exciting challenge for me and a good fit as it builds on my experience in selling software to companies of all sizes across multiple sectors. I look forward to using my skills and knowledge to increase EMC’s market share in the software space globally and in Australia and New Zealand.”</p>
<p>Prior to joining webMethods, Innes worked for Oracle Corp. in various sales and management roles around the world, most recently in Sydney where he directed sales efforts in the financial services, telecommunications, media and utilities sectors. Prior to Oracle, he worked for IBM in sales management.</p>
