Fast, slim and sexy: Mitsubishi Electric introduces slim-line 8ms monitors

 • 01 August, 2005 08:38

SYDNEY 1 August, 2005 – Australian gamers can look forward to a better viewing experience, with Mitsubishi Electric today introducing its new range of Diamond Digital slim-line TFT LCD monitors, with a fast 8ms response rate. The range includes the 17” DV177 and the 19” DV197.

Designed in Australia in order to best meet consumer demands, these monitors are Mitsubishi Electric’s flagship range. The 8ms response rate is ideal for gaming, meaning no annoying pixel lag with the latest visually complex games. This is combined with a super slim bezel, so that viewers can see all the action, without a bulky monitor taking up too much space, as well as high brightness and contrast levels.

“We’ve made aesthetics and visual appearance a key priority when designing these new monitors. As well as being suited for gaming purposes, all consumers can benefit from the state-of-the-art technology, with the excellent response rate reducing the flicker that so often accompanies LCD screens,” said Richard Freggi, General Manager, Mitsubishi Electric Australia Digital Electronics.

The ergonomically friendly height and angle adjustable stand on the DV177 and DV197 monitors allow the user to position the screen for optimum viewing, accessibility and comfort. They are compatible with both Windows and Macintosh operating systems, as well as having dual signal inputs (DVI Digital and Analogue). The new monitors are available in beige and silver/black.

Because nobody wants their work or playtime to be interrupted by technical difficulties, the monitors come with Mitsubishi Electric’s three-year limited onsite warranty, with a loan monitor available while the product is repaired.

Availability and Pricing

The monitors are in stores now, with a 20” model to be introduced later in the year.

DV177/DV177SB RRP $499.00
