<p>SYDNEY, Australia – Aug. 15, 2005 – EMC Corporation, the world leader in information storage and management, today announced the appointment of Selena Adams as marketing communications manager for EMC Australia and New Zealand. In her new role, she will be responsible for marketing communications, corporate and internal communications and channel marketing programs.</p>
<p>Adams has more than 13 years of communications experience, including positions in the IT industry with well-known global and Australian brands such as Sun Microsystems, Microsoft and Telstra. She joins EMC from American Power Conversion (APC) where she worked as marketing communications manager for Australia and New Zealand.</p>
<p>Jordan Reizes, director of Marketing for EMC Australia and New Zealand, commented, “EMC will greatly benefit from Selena’s combination of proven communications skills and IT experience. She is uniquely suited to drive integrated programs to position EMC as the leading provider of information lifecycle management (ILM).</p>
<p>Adams commented, “During the past few years, EMC has significantly grown its channel business to bring EMC products and solutions to companies of all sizes, including small- to medium-size businesses, the commercial space and the enterprise market. “I will be focusing on creating programs to work with these channel partners and drive new business opportunities, especially in the mid-market.”</p>
<p>Prior to APC, Adams worked as marketing communications manager, Australia and New Zealand, for Sun Microsystems; corporate public relations manager, Microsoft in Australia; and in various Public Affairs roles at Telstra, including Convergent Business. Adams’ previous roles include media and speech writing positions with NSW government and she began her career as a journalist. She recently earned a Masters of Public Affairs from Sydney University.</p>
