AIIA launches SME marketing guide

The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) has launched an SME Marketing Guide to counter a lack of marketing resources available for the ICT industry.

General manager of membership and business services, Kathryn Porritt, said the guide of more than 100 pages featured nine steps that offered advice about partnerships, selecting resellers and promotional tools.

"It includes the vital steps to developing a marketing plan, and explains, in plain English, the process involved in any marketing strategy," she said. "The guide offers case studies of marketing success from other SMEs, and provides a host of links and resources."

It is not exclusive to specific divisions of the ICT sector but is meant as a general overview. There were, however, a range of case studies from a variety of companies, that reflected the different sectors of the industry, she said.

AIIA also has a number of other initiatives in the works for SMEs, including a new ICT entrepreneurs' program aimed at ISVs.

"It will offer a unique combination of training, mentoring and business relationship development," Porritt said.

"The objective is to equip the participants with the knowledge and management skills necessary to lead their business through a sustained period of growth in the Australian and international markets."

The guide is available for public download from AIIA's website: http://www.aiia.com.au/.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
