Atdec’s Visidec Focus – desktop space-saver for computer and A/V users

 • 14 September, 2005 16:54

Comfort, strength, looks, flexibility and cost-effectiveness were the design criteria for the Visidec Focus visual display mounting system from Australian designer and manufacturer, Atdec Pty Limited.

The Visidec Focus is a space-saving, flat panel display system suitable for 12” to 19” (30cm to 48cm) monitors and strong enough to support up to 6 kgs (13 lbs) in weight. Multiple adjustment options achieve the best possible viewing position suiting the ergonomic requirements and enhancing the space restrictions of most working environments.

“Atdec’s Visidec Focus flat panel display arm is ideal for banking, retail and general office applications and also suits the space limitations of small business, SOHO and the commercial furniture industry, “ said Atdec’s Managing Director, Steve Crozier. “Just pull it out to use and push it away – in any direction – to provide more desktop workspace,” he added.

Product features include:
• effortless height adjustment to 355mm (14”)
• the monitor can rotate a full 360 degrees around the pole;
• its innovative head design offers +/- 70 degree tilt, 180 degree pan and the ability to change between landscape and portrait modes;
• an adjustable mounting plate which suits 75-100 mm hole patterns for VESA-compliant flat panel display screens;
• bolt-through mounting option for desktops 12-98mm (1/2” to 3 ¾”) thick; clamp mounting option for desktops 14-45 mm (1/2” to 1 ¾”) thick.

Constructed in sturdy aluminium with a stylish chrome finish, the Visidec Focus is quick and easy to install. It comes with hardware and advanced cable management (where wires are housed out of sight within the support pole) which also reduces desktop clutter. As with all Atdec products, it has a five-year warranty.

Atdec partners with most of the key AV organisations such as NEC, Hitachi, Fujitsu, Samsung, LG, BenQ, Sharp, Sony, Panasonic, Acer, Dell and IBM designing equipment to suit their individual products. “These relationships and our own research keeps us informed of worldwide trends ensuring our products meet consumer demand and emerging technology requirements,” said Mr Crozier.

Competitively priced at $199 RRP, Visidec Focus is available through leading information technology resellers and major commercial furniture companies such as Thinking Ergonomix and CEDIA members as well as retailers including Harvey Norman and Domayne. Atdec’s Australian State distributors are: Ground Floor Marketing (Vic and Tas), Debetrek (Qld and NT), Sylex (WA), Greg North (SA) and Corporate Express; New Zealand distributors are Sylex and Metrolink.
