<p>Network Appliance Promotes Simon Green to Area Director, South Asia</p>
<p>SYDNEY, Australia – October 4, 2005 - Network Appliance today announced the promotion of Simon Green to Area Director, South Asia for Network Appliance (NetApp).</p>
<p>As Area Director, Green will be responsible for driving the growth of NetApp and setting the strategic direction for the region. Building on his previous role of Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, Green will guide the operations of NetApp beyond Australia and New Zealand to incorporate ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations), India and Hong Kong as part of his charter.</p>
<p>Tom Chin, Vice President Asia Pacific Sales noted, “Simon’s customer centricity is at the heart of his success and ultimately that of NetApp. By putting the needs of his customers first, Simon has increased revenues by 50 per cent year on year since financial year 2000/1, due in part to his ongoing work with Australia’s largest telco and four of its largest financial institutions.”</p>
<p>Green said, “This is an exciting time for the IT industry, as customers sort through various corporate governance and compliance issues, they look to NetApp as a trusted advisor for their data integrity, security and storage issues.”</p>
<p>NetApp recently completed its acquisition of Decru, the market leader in storage security, helping enterprise and government customers address requirements including regulatory compliance, privacy, secure consolidation, and outsourcing.</p>
<p>Green went on to say, “The Decru acquisition rounds out the NetApp offering by providing customers with support across all their data needs. Securing it from internal threats and ensuring its availability to those with access rights.”</p>
<p>Green joined NetApp in early 2000 as the local Southern Region Manager based in Melbourne, when NetApp acquired the operations of its Australian distributor ProVision.</p>
