Fujitsu raises first-half profit forecast

Fujitsu raised its profit forecast for the first six months of its fiscal year on Tuesday, citing better than expected demand for some products and services.

The revised forecast, made as the company prepares to announce first-half earnings next week, calls for a net profit of YEN 7 billion (AU$81.5 million) compared to its previously forecast net loss of YEN 15 billion. At the same time the company said it expects net sales to be YEN 2.192 trillion, which is slightly lower than its previous forecast of YEN 2.2 trillion.

For the first six months last year, Fujitsu reported a net loss of YEN 8.1 billion and net sales of YEN 2.22 trillion.

Fujitsu said the changes reflect higher profitability in several areas including its systems integration, infrastructure services and electronics components businesses. It said demand was higher for cellular base stations and optical transmission systems.

The company left its full-year profits forecast unchanged at YEN 50 billion and revised its net sales forecast down slightly to YEN 4.8 trillion from YEN 4.85 trillion.

MSI GT75 TITAN

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
