BigAir’s High Speed Broadband Internet and VoIP Spreads Across Sydney’s West

 • 20 October, 2005 12:26

Network expansion and partnership with Ethan Group make BigAir business-grade broadband more readily available

BigAir Group Limited (BigAir) has boosted coverage of its super fast wireless broadband network across Sydney and into the Western suburbs delivering high-speed broadband Internet and VoIP services to local businesses.

A Platinum Partnership with Ethan Group – Australia’s fastest growing company as per this month’s BRW Magazine Fast 100, 2005 – and the addition of three new base-stations have significantly expanded coverage of BigAir’s telecommunications network across Sydney’s west. BigAir’s business-grade wireless broadband and VoIP services can now reach businesses in Blacktown, North Ryde, Baulkham Hills, Homebush, Seven Hills, Wetheril Park and beyond.

“Through our relationship with BigAir we can now provide our customers with a business-grade high-speed alternative for their broadband access requirements,” Tony Geagea, Director, Ethan Group. “We feel that BigAir is an excellent addition to our existing portfolio of services and the symmetric bandwidth it offers is great for implementing VoIP solutions such as our industry leading MiTel solution.”

Capitalising on the Australian IT industry’s demand for high speed broadband and the latest wireless technologies, BigAir and its integration partners are offering business grade broadband solutions using BigAir’s wireless telecommunications network, and focusing on the rapidly expanding campus-style business parks, including those located in Sydney’s Western suburbs such as Norwest Business Park.

“We now have 13 base-stations across Sydney with more on the way. Our continued expansion along with recently formed partnerships allows us to leverage our partners expertise in order to reach those businesses that are in need of a high quality, high-speed broadband service,” said Jason Ashton, Chief Executive Officer, BigAir.

“We have received enormous interest from businesses right across Sydney since we launched our business-grade broadband services last year. As a wireless last mile service provider we have the flexibility to build out new coverage very rapidly to meet demand. Each new basestation can provide coverage of up to 300 square kilometres,” Jason added.

BigAir’s comprehensive broadband services (including their enterprise-grade “fiber-in-the-sky” broadband solutions - 99.95% reliability or better - with lightning-fast speeds up to 100Mbps) now reach throughout Sydney and into Melbourne. The company has also recently launched its business-grade VoIP services which includes a hosted IP Centrex environment.
