Digital Smart Home powers up for Entertainment show

Digital Smart Home is using this week's National Home Entertainment Show to showcase it increasing capabilities in the home entertainment area.

The company's exhibition at the show will feature a complete set-up of its products on three separate stages. Three of the latest Microsoft Media Centers - complimented by an array of Mitsubishi monitors, and high tech sound support - will be on display.

The Melbourne-based company specialises in integrating and designing home automated systems. Digital Smart Home sales manager, Phil Gibbs said this was not to be confused with standalone entertainment setups.

"Instead of becoming just an entertainment device, Digital Smart Home is all about combining the four key elements required for an actual digital smart home," he said. The integrator focuses on entertainment, home automation (lighting and temperature control), security and VoIP technologies.

For the show, the company has standardised its digital home systems and lowered prices to attract a wider audience of consumers.

"Instead of one percent of homes affording this technology, 20 per cent will be able to," Gibbs said. "We can do the same thing for a third of the price with an equivalent experience."

The home entertainment systems that the company installs are run on standardised platforms using Microsoft Media Centre, Intel Vive and Cisco architecture.

The National Home Entertainment Show is being held at the Sydney Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour, November 4-6.

The National Home Entertainment Show is presented by IDG, publisher of this site.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.

The print quality also does not disappoint, it’s clear, bold, doesn’t smudge and the text is perfectly sized.
