SNIA Education Programs Surpass 10,000 Students Worldwide

<p>International Education Program Continues Strong Momentum and Demand from Users</p>
<p>SNW, Orlando, USA; Beijing, People Republic of China; Tokyo, Japan; Toronto, Canada; Frankfort, Germany; Sydney, Australia; Singapore, Singapore (October 26, 2005) — At Storage Networking World, Fall 2005 in Orlando, Florida, the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) announced that its worldwide educational programs have reached a significant milestone by training more than 10,000 students since the programs inception in 2001.</p>
<p>Education has always represented one of our top priorities in the SNIA, said Wayne M. Adams, chairman of the board of the SNIA. Over the last year we have been focusing our efforts on expanding our SNIA educational programs both domestically and internationally by developing a series of powerful training programs including interoperability demonstrations and hands-on labs. These training events have been held throughout the world in various locations as well as at all the Storage Networking World conferences around the world. This milestone is evidence of our commitment to deliver tutorials and education to establish a worldwide base of educated, knowledgeable IT professionals.</p>
<p>The SNIAs educational programs, both in the US and internationally, focus on all levels of storage networking expertise from core technology and development experts to networking IT professionals who have no previous storage background. The SNIAs goal for education is to bring professional certification, training, and development to the IT community on a world-wide basis through a full line of conference sessions, tutorials, interoperability demonstrations, hands-on labs, workshops, publications, educational frameworks, as well as the SNIA Technology Centers education series and Labs.</p>
