Network Appliance Appoints Southern Region Channel Manager

<p>Network Appliance, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTAP), the leader in advanced networked storage solutions for today’s data-intensive enterprise, has announced the appointment of Niamh McDonnell in the role of Southern Region Channel Manager. She will be based in Melbourne.</p>
<p>In her new role, Niamh McDonnell will take responsibility for developing and growing the channel for Network Appliance across Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia. She will focus on new opportunities for growth and build on the company’s existing relationships with its channel partners.</p>
<p>McDonnell has worked in the IT industry for some 14 years, most recently with Lan Systems, where she was Branch Manager, Southern Region. Prior to that, she spent seven years with Sybase in channel-focused management roles and before that began her “reseller land” career with Borland.</p>
<p>Welcoming Niamh McDonnell to Network Appliance, Simon Green, Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand said, “Niamh’s appointment reflects NetApp’s drive to deepen its market penetration and volume sales through our reseller channel. Her thorough understanding of the southern region market and knowledge of channel operations will help us extend our portfolio of partners and increase market share.
