Unwired launch laptop card on Boxing Day

Unwired's Wireless Card is set to hit stores Boxing Day after the company received favourable response from its staged launch throughout October.

The staged launch of the product enabled Unwired to iron out last minute problems and to gauge customer reaction to packaging and design, said Unwired Australia product manager, Jeremy Deutsch.

"We had some learning experiences but overall, it's been overwhelmingly positive," he said.

The Wireless Card will be released with four different plans ranging from $49.95 for a 512/128Kbps service with 400MB of downloads, to a $109.95 plan for a 750/256Kbps connection with 12GB of downloads.

"We're offering true wireless broadband in a card format at very competitive prices ," said Deutsch.

"It's a very busy market out there but we think we will stand on our own two feet," he added.

The wireless card is available only in Sydney but Unwired plans to expand services to other Australian capitals in 2006.

Although the card is available online and through Unwired's call centre, retail stores won't have the device until Boxing Day.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.

The print quality also does not disappoint, it’s clear, bold, doesn’t smudge and the text is perfectly sized.
