Alcatel appoints Shirley Cotterill as Executive General Manager for its Telstra Customer Account Team

<p>Alcatel today announced that Shirley Cotterill has been appointed Executive General Manager, Telstra Customer Account Team - effective 5th May.</p>
<p>Shirley joins Alcatel from Nortel where she held the roles of Director, Business Development for Telstra Wireless and Voice and, most recently, Alternate Operators.</p>
<p>Shirley brings to her new role established key relationships within Telstra and a strong background in championing business cases for investment in next generation convergent IP networks and wireless/wireline broadband services.</p>
<p>Prior to Nortel, Shirley worked in a number of organisations in the UK, including Cisco Systems Europe as Business Development Manager, Wireless.</p>
<p>She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and a Telecommunications Technical Certificate from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Canada.</p>
