Sydney – May 1, 2006 - In the ever increasingly price competitive market of multimedia data projectors, NEC took out number one market share for the first quarter of 2006, accounting for 11.3%. They were followed by Acer, Epson and BenQ.

NEC has maintained it’s position in the top three for many years now. With the release of their newest lineup in December 2005, they have been able to meet the demands of the marketplace, with a varied and full lineup of product.
Steven Macdonald, National Sales Manager for NEC’s Visual Display division stated, “The AV/IT convergence has seen the IT vendors entering the top five market share spots. NEC has a strong presence in the IT channel as well as the Professional AV channel which we believe has put us in a good stead for now and the future. Our main aim, as always, is to provide our customers with quality product and service. We are able to do this with a strong, reliable and well spec’d product lineup and a loyal dealer network, and we thank our channel partners for their continued support of NEC.”.
