NetApp Completes Sale of NetCache Assets To Blue Coat Systems, Inc.

<p>SUNNYVALE, Calif. – September 11, 2006 – Network Appliance, Inc. (NASDAQ:NTAP), the leader in advanced networked storage solutions, today announced that it has completed the sale of a substantial portion of its NetCache™ assets to Blue Coat® Systems (NASDAQ: BCSI). NetApp will continue to support existing customers’ NetCache appliances for the duration of their support contracts, and will honor all currently existing NetCache customer commitments. NetApp considers the transaction to be immaterial to expectations for its business going forward.</p>
