Network Appliance to Present at Storage Networking World

<p>AUSTRALIA, Sydney — 22 September 2006 — Network Appliance, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTAP), will be driving storage discussions at Storage Networking World from September 26-27, 2006 in the Sydney Convention Center to educate attendees on different approaches to simplifying data management.</p>
<p>Mark Heers, Director Marketing and Alliances Australia and New Zealand will present how simplifying data management can dramatically lower TCO for businesses on September 26 at 1:30 pm. Heers has over 20 years experience in the IT sector and has an in-depth knowledge of IT issues surrounding data management, data protection, data security, IT infrastructure, business continuity and compliance. Heers served as the inaugural Chairman at SNIA in Australia and New Zealand for almost two years until early 2005. Since then he has continued to be the delegate for NetApp to SNIA ANZ.</p>
<p>David Dale, Industry Evangelist at NetApp and Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Chair, IP Storage Forum and Member, SNIA Board of Directors, will present on IP storage, comparing iSCSI to other storage technologies on Wednesday, September 27 at 12:00 pm. Dale has over 20 years experience in the IT industry. This includes a position at the forefront of new "disruptive technology" initiatives in roles such as technology evangelist, strategic market analyst and industry spokesperson. For the past three years he has been heavily involved in the SNIA, most recently as acting Marketing Chair for the IP Storage Forum in the US.</p>
<p>Additionally, NetApp is a participant in the SNIA SNW Interoperability Demonstration, which runs several times throughout the show.</p>
<p>NetApp will also be showcasing and conducting live demonstrations of NetApp technology at the NetApp exhibition booth (including rapid recovery of Microsoft Exchange and SQL Server environments) for visitors and delegates to SNW.</p>
