• 25 September, 2006 10:52

IT Services business Alphawest Services Pty Ltd has been selected as a preferred tenderer for the provision of electronic document management systems under the Western Australian (WA) Government’s Common Use Arrangement (CUA). The CUA has been established to assist agencies to comply with local and international standards for documents and records management.

Alphawest’s successful proposal includes the Hummingbird Enterprise Suite solution which is currently used by over one million government employees globally including Queensland Whole of Government, Canadian Whole of Government, and now available to all Western Australian Government agencies. The Hummingbird Enterprise Suite has government specific solution templates for managing records associated with business processes such as ministerial correspondence.

“Alphawest is delighted to be selected as a preferred tenderer and we look forward to working with Hummingbird to supply WA Government agencies with a world-class solution that offers outstanding value for money,” said Ross Hamilton, WA Line of Business Manager for Business Solutions at Alphawest. “As a locally based, long-term implementation partner of Hummingbird solutions, Alphawest has proven experience in delivering business solutions from regulatory compliance to complex enterprise content management systems. Alphawest has an extensive track record with more than 18 years of experience working with federal and state governments and understands the complexity of compliance challenges.”

Hummingbird’s Managing Director Tony Hughes said, “Our government offerings will provide enormous value to WA agencies. Significant recent wins in WA Government, and being the only leader in the Gartner ECM Magic Quadrant selected as a preferred tenderer on the CUA, prove that we have a clear point of differentiation over smaller vendors in meeting government compliance requirements."

Alphawest’s selection follows on from the recent Hummingbird content management system success in WA with Legal Aid Western Australia.
