Engin goes global for 20 cents

Engin has unveiled new VoIP call rates that let customers connect with associates across the globe for 20 cents a call.

The World 20 Plan allows Engin callers to dial friends and family in 20 different countries, untimed, anytime for 20 cents.

"We really wanted to attract the huge market of people making phone calls overseas on international calling cards," said Engin marketing director, Kelvin Kirk.

He said that despite calling card dominance in the international phone market, rates were often much higher than alternative methods of calling.

"People buy calling cards unaware of the actual call rates involved," Kirk said. "But Engin's new flat rate is less than what people pay for in connection fees with calling cards."

Participating countries include China, Singapore, UK, USA, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Canada, Germany, France, Sweden, Ireland, Spain, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Greece, Israel, Italy and Switzerland. Calls can be made to any landline phone from the listed countries.

The global rates have been made available to all Engin customers connected to a $20 monthly service fee, which also includes; 10 cent untimed local and national calls, free calls from Engin to Engin phones and 27 cents per minute to mobile phones.
