AXS-One Announces Data Archive Translator™ at Microsoft Ready Summit

 • 17 November, 2006 10:43

AXS-One and Microsoft partner to facilitate migration to Microsoft Exchange 2007

Rutherford, NJ, 17 November 2006 – AXS-One Inc. (AMEX: AXO), a leading provider of high-performance Records Compliance Management (RCM) software solutions, today announced that it will launch AXS-One Data Archive Translator™ during the Microsoft Ready Summit in Australia, an already underway, five-city road show created to promote Microsoft Office 2007, Windows Vista and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. The debut of Microsoft's suite of products coincides with the launch of AXS-One Data Archive Translator, which allows organisations to easily migrate email archived in other messaging environments.

The AXS-One Translator Tool has been designed to provide customers with access to messages that were previously archived without having to re-ingest them into the new environment. This avoids the costly process of handling the legacy data and moving it to the new environment. Original records remain unchanged, with their full fidelity, and can continue to be accessed and utilised by end users. This substantially reduces the cost and effort involved in conversion.

AXS-One is Microsoft's only Independent Software Vendor (ISV) addressing archiving, electronic document management and compliance, at the Ready Summit ‘06. The partnership between Microsoft Australia and AXS-One highlights the importance Microsoft places on offering its customers easy ways to migrate to the Microsoft suite of products.

Commenting on the announcement, David Thompson, managing director of AXS-One in Australia and Asia, said: “While there is growing demand for tools to assist with email server migration in Australia, migration is not without its potential issues. In terms of usability, organisations are worried about the impact on end users and providing ongoing access to archived messages within their new messaging platform. With growing importance placed on risk management and e-discovery, organisations are also concerned whether messages will continue to retain their evidentiary weight and full fidelity. AXS-One addresses this with a solution that focuses on both the operational and business issues associated with migrating messaging platforms.”

Microsoft and AXS-One will be jointly presenting the value of the AXS-One Data Archive Translator during the road show and, in particular, demonstrating the ease with which it can be incorporated into any email migration process.
