• 22 November, 2006 15:15

Frame is one of the first companies in Australia to be certified in this specialisation by Cisco

Last month The Frame Group (Frame), who provides end-to-end services to make technology an effective and efficient tool for businesses, was awarded an Advanced Unified Communications Specialisation by Cisco®

Recognised by way of specialised competency in the field of converged data, voice and video, Frame’s certification verifies their efficiency and expertise in specifying, designing, installing, and supporting comprehensive unified communications solutions.

“The Cisco specialised certification process is a fundamental change in the way we present our partners to the market,” said Jeff Sheard, Cisco Australia and New Zealand Director, Channels. ”With this specialisation, Frame can now provide customers with the complete Cisco unified communications platform,” Mr Sheard said.

“This competency is a focal point of our of business plan in obtaining capability in the convergence market”, said Brad Ferguson, Managing Director of Frame. “This puts Frame in a prime position to secure convergence projects over the coming year. We are one of the first organisations in Australia to achieve this specialisation and it represents a significant investment in our future.”

Combined with Frame’s existing, reputable and proven processes for defining, delivering, and supporting technology solutions, Frame can now provide customers with an end-to-end process and capability for advanced unified communications solutions.

The Cisco Advanced Unified Communications Specialisation represents the evolution of the Cisco IP Communications Specialisation. The entire Cisco product family, in addition to the specialisation, has transitioned to a 'unified communications' approach. This approach not only describes product functions more accurately, it also represents Cisco’s transition from a solutions-oriented model to a more comprehensive, systems-level model. Unified communications now refers to the entire product family and serves as part of each product name as well.

Cisco’s unified communications solutions are designed to help meet a wide range of customer needs—from small to medium-sized businesses all the way up to enterprise-scale organisations. It focuses on IP communications market opportunities that require advanced product knowledge and the ability to deploy solutions over multiple sites and geographies.

The Advanced Unified Communications Specialisation focuses on the following Cisco products:

• IP communications products

• Unity Connection

• Unified CallManager

• Unity Voice Messaging/Unified Messaging

• Unified Contact Centre

• Unified Videoconferencing products

• Unified MeetingPlace.

Cisco Advanced Unified Communications products may be restricted for sale by Cisco Advanced Unified Communications Specialised Partners only. Please check with your channel account manager to see if restrictions apply in your geographic region.
